Gross, nose chaffed and red... yucky.
I also woke up @ 8.12 this morning. School totally starts @ 8.10. Pops concert saved me from being too late... I missed 2/3 of it, which sucks, but better than missing art or faith. I got a horrible spot in soph lot.
my goal this week is to summerize 3 kierkegaard resources for my outline. Lofty, yes. impossible, no.

LUNCH TIME!!

edit: here are some pictures of me after my makeover.

Sunday, February 04, 2007

The Last King of Scotland was definitly more than the $4 I paid to go see it. I sat kinda by someone (about 5 empty seats down) who looked like Rick, with her new super short hair cut, but it was just a regular guy. During Last King, I sometimes forgot I was needed to breathe, and the ending was soo suspenceful. It's amazing. Go see it.
Went out to lunch around 2ish, and got a call from the lady who I was supposed to babysit tonight, saying her plans had been cancelled. I got the job. wee, $5 an hour. That is such a step down from the $17/hour I made on Friday ($51 for 3 hours of work!) (that, btw, is all spent or divvied into saving accounts)
it sure is cold outside.
I also almost saw Kate today. that was pretty exciting.
also, Pepsi @ the commissary is only $5.50 for a 24 pack.That's 23cents a can!!

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

When girls @ senior retreat wrote "Xanga" as a "so freshman year" thing, it made me resolve to never let my xanga be a reminder of freshman year (when I got mine, incidentally). I mean, this thing has followed me all 4 years, and is the closest to a journal that I'd ever have!
... only... facebook is so easy...
NO! I cannot let technology ADD detract me from keeping my xanga the coolest thing on the block!

now.. if only more people read it, and not facebook. or equally. but alas, anne, kit, abby, rikki, kurt, robert, and kate have all gone astray. I fear that if Katie N begins to use the internet more for pleasure, she will quickly be swayed.

What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson?

I got a 90 on the Stats test with 3 problems on it. For what, I don't know becuz you did it all on the calculator.
I saw Pan's Labyrinth yesterday, and it was pretty cool. It was a terrifying movie, but I enjoyed it. and alas, the irony arrives: I got my movie watchers card in the mail today (Sat), when I could've gotten 4 points for using it yesterday. Fate is cruel. If I see 50 movies or 25 movies with friends, I can get a free ticket, large popcorn, and large drink. That's pretty awesome. Popcorn is good.
I also got my ODP check: $66. wow. that was for about 2 hours of work. What fun!
so the real exciting news: AD! how stupendous! testing all day, Superquiz @ 2. Marian tied for last... and the announcer forgot to say Mr. Gilman was our coach when they recognized the coaches. we played monkey in the middle with Abby's tampon bag. awards: Sara got 1st in math, 2nd in lit, 3rd in music, lang/lit, and science
in alternate scholastic. Kate got 1st in math, 3 in lang/lit and
something else in alternative varsity. Chelsea got 3rd in lang/lit and I got 2nd in science, both in scholastic.
We came 2nd to last in superquiz and I got the highest score out of the
whole team with 3320. I dunno how we did overall and we're probably not going to state. Oh well. Then Rick, Swatzy, and I went to IHOP and kit joined us for some amazing pancakes. they were delish.
Sunday, January 14, 2007

I don't understand how people can like snow. Snow just falls, for hours, ruining perfectly good days like today, when I actually had a slew of things that I needed to accomplish outside the house. It ruins something that I was looking forward too and is ruining up a cabin fever. Also, I've had this urge to dress up for several days, but with the cold weather and snow, it's not really working out for me.
I missed Church this morning, but if I had gone, I would've had to wipe off my windows and might've died sliding on ice, so it all works out. My dad managed to make it safely to Borders and back (what's up with that?!) while I worked on my Kierkegaard outline. Then I made spaghetti.
After which time, I cancelled an event and signed online. I also read Inu-Yasha, some of Joy Luck Club, and some Jailbird. JLC is really good.
Tomorrow, I have a job shadow @ The Omaha World Herald and I have no idea where I'm going.

This came in my NY Times Urban Scene news... thingy in my email today:

NUDITY

Everywhere’s annual No-Pants Subway Ride has
become such an overobserved phenomenon that there are often
more reporters than participants. (This year, the
